RSA has come a long way since its beginning in the UAE back in 1956 gradually developing, building, and merging several individual portfolios across the region. The individual strengths of these local portfolios, combined with the worldwide reputation of the RSA Group, have enabled the UAE operation to evolve and become what it is today: a leading international company with strong local expertise.

In addition to our main office in Dubai, we also have offices in Sharjah and the capital city of Abu Dhabi. Our ability to access resources from around the globe, coupled with our extensive local knowledge and experience, enables us to handle the many technical risks that are such a feature of this market; a clear and tangible advantage over our competitors.

The UAE business of RSA has had a track record of steady financial growth despite increasing competition in an economically challenging market environment. Our performance reflects substantial progress in all classes of business, particularly motor insurance. 

Our Aims

 We aim to continue to build on our financial strength by securing our position in our chosen countries and market segments, raising standards in our core areas of underwriting and claims management, improving our customer management techniques and strengthening our risk and governance environment. The RSA Group has an A credit rating (stable) from Standard & Poor's, an A credit rating (excellent) from A. M. Best and an A2 credit rating (stable) from Moody's, ensuring that we meet our customers' needs for financial security.

Continuing Innovation

RSA continues to lead and innovate in a number of areas across the business, particularly in underwriting and claims management. We continually emphasise the importance of quality risk management to our intermediaries and clients by conducting sessions and workshops to improve their product knowledge. Apart from this, we have made significant advancements in the technology arena by building cutting edge intermediary interfaces for our car, home, travel, marine and office products.
