1.Do you provide cover for all pleasure yachts and boats?
At RSA, we provide cover for boats with a maximum speed of 50 knots, made of GRP, aluminum and steel.
For boats older than 10 years, we require an on-water survey. For yachts/boats(s) that have a maximum designed speed above 50 knots, please email our marine underwriting team directly. They will be as supportive as possible in helping you with your requirements.
3.How does my insurance cover me in case of an accident that is my fault?
This policy indemnifies/pays for the loss of life or personal injury (to a third party) or loss of or damage to third party property caused by the use of your pleasure craft.
4.What about my liability towards the passengers on my boat/yacht?
This policy covers liability for death or bodily injuries sustained by persons or damage to their property whilst traveling on your pleasure craft.
5.What happens in case I sell my vessel before my insurance expires?
In this case, the policy will be cancelled and a pro rata daily return of premium will be refunded back to you.
6.Can I hire out my pleasure craft?
Our yacht policy covers loss or damage to your pleasure craft when used strictly for your private pleasure only, and not when it is let out on hire.
7.Does the policy cover my yacht whilst in use outside of the UAE?
The standard RSA policy covers the yacht/ pleasure craft whilst in use in the coastal waters of the UAE only. Email us to extend your cover to other areas.
